Dust clings to the rusted hood of the car as it idles in the scorched Californian desert, its once-sleek frame pitted and sun-bleached, a relic of a world long gone. Inside, the radio crackles to life with eerie persistence, broadcasting staticky fragments of forgotten songs and ghostly DJ banter from some bunker or automated loop, echoing across the wasteland like a voice from the dead.
